Every year, the romantic gardens of the Monserrate Palace in Sintra turn into a stunning open-air stage for Jazz in Monserrate, a festival that brings together some of the best Portuguese and international jazz musicians. The 2025 edition promises even more intimate evenings under the stars, with performances that blend the timeless charm of jazz with the mystical setting of the Serra de Sintra.
From traditional jazz standards to experimental fusion, the program showcases a variety of styles and artists. The palace gardens, known for their exotic botanical collection and 19th-century architecture, offer natural acoustics and a dreamlike atmosphere perfect for laid-back music lovers and curious travellers alike.

September 12: Maria Carvalho Quintet (“Margem”) at 7 pm; Luís Figueiredo & Miguel Ramalho at 9 pm
September 13: Dominic Ingham Quartet “Role Models” at 7 pm; Martín Sued & Orquestra Assintomática with Fuensanta at 9 pm
September 14: Maria João “Abundância” at 7:30 pm
Day tickets (including park and palace entry) for evening concerts after park hours are priced at €15 and are sold via the official website.
Jazz for Babies (ages 0–36 months) on September 13 & 14 at 10:00 and 11:30 am (free with park entry + prior registration from September 1).
Jam Sessions with National Conservatory jazz students on both afternoons at 3 pm (included with park entry).
A free masterclass with violinist Dominic Ingham on September 12 at 3 pm for registered musicians.
No exchanges or refunds are allowed, except in case of event cancellation or schedule change. Latecomers will not be admitted.
