Throughout the month of June, Lisbon celebrates the Popular Saints festivals, especially Saint Anthony’s Day on 13 June, the city’s municipal holiday.
Historic neighbourhoods like Alfama, Graça and Bairro Alto come alive with street parties, music, grilled sardines, colourful decorations, and the famous parades known as marchas populares.
