From 7 to 9 August 2026, the legendary Vagos Metal Fest returns to the iconic Quinta do Ega, in Vila Nova de Paiva (Viseu District, Portugal). Now celebrating its 9th edition, the event has become one of the biggest heavy metal festivals in Portugal, transforming this town near Serra da Estrela into the country’s true metal capital.
For three days, thousands of fans gather in a unique natural setting to celebrate music and culture. Beyond the concerts, the festival offers free camping at Parque Urbano, glamping options, water activities, yoga sessions, a vibrant Street Market, a renewed Beer Garden and even a tattoo studio, as well as the traditional bull runs.
The 2026 lineup already includes major international names. Godsmack, returning to Portugal after more than 20 years, have been announced as the first headliner. They will be joined by the legendary In Flames, the explosive Combichrist, and the powerful bands Heaven Shall Burn and Deicide, along with Holocausto Canibal.
The 2025 edition confirmed the success of the festival with a lineup featuring P.O.D., Mayhem, Moonspell, Hatebreed, Black Flag, Candlemass, as well as Portuguese names like Bandidos do Cante, Ana Bacalhau, Jéssica Cipriano and Rocktulo, plus comedy shows with Eduardo Madeira.
